From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the party enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This means them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in search of Casimir.

Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Questers and Strategists parties.
